It's been a long time since I posted anything, and I apologize for that. Things have been rather hectic lately as I'm sure things are for most people my age who are about to graduate college.
Perhaps one of the most stressful things is having to look for a job right out of school. It is getting harder and harder by the day. Especially for a writing major. I am looking for a job as an editorial assistant because that's pretty much the only job I'm qualified for at this time. And of course, I can't really negotiate pay all that much since an editorial assistant position isn't exactly a high-paying job. If I get a job, I'll probably just be happy to be employed despite the low income.
That's where more stress comes in. Most jobs are located in New York City. If I were to get a job in NY, the cost of traveling to work may be larger than my paycheck. MEANING, I'd have to move out of my house, something I'm not sure I'm emotionally ready for.
If anyone has any advice, I would be more than willing to take it and consider it. This is a hard time, and everyone, myself especially included, can use some help.
